Physical Therapy

Your thorough evaluation includes an interview to determine your concerns, gathering your past medical history, and a detailed physical exam. We assess a host of factors, including posture, range of motion, strength, balance, gait, coordination, muscle tone, and functional tests. Then we put it all together to determine the cause of your issue. Together with you, we set goals, develop a plan and follow up as necessary. We continually modify goals, exercises and specific techniques to ensure you are making maximum progress.

Pre-op Training for Elective Orthopedic/Spinal Surgeries

Planning a knee, hip or shoulder joint replacement or spinal fusion surgery? Before your surgery, we perform a detailed evaluation of your home setup, as well as anticipated equipment and support needs. We provide a tailored, research-based "pre-hab" exercise routine to strengthen muscles to reduce recovery time and improve long-term outcomes. And we educate you on precisely what to expect at the hospital so you get home as quickly and safely as possible.

Occupational Therapy

The OT homes in on activities of daily living (ADL), including your ability to dress, bathe and perform grooming and hygiene tasks, fine motor skills and coordination, as well as your cognitive abilities, and your possible need for adaptive equipment, including splints and braces. The OT also concentrates on other crucial aspects of caring for oneself at home: laundry, cooking, cleaning, and whatever other hobbies or activities typically occupy your day and are most vital to YOUR physical and emotional well being.

Rehabilitation Consulting

Balance issues? Frequent falling? Concerned about your ability to live independently? Through a series of detailed functional assessments, our balance and safety experts focus on assessing your ability to thrive inside your home, pinpoint specific areas of concern, and target our interventions to address them. Helping you stay in your home safely for as long as possible is our priority.
